About me...


I am a professor at the Andong National University, the Department of Computer Education. I am leading the Future Education Center and the Software Convergence Education Center in ANU. My research is mainly about teaching and learning methods, evaluation methods, and curriculum design in K-12 computer science. In particular, I am interested in designing learning experiences based on Papert's constructionism, designing teaching and learning methods that promote computational thinking, and evaluation methods for computational thinking.

My research activities are situated in following interconnected thematic areas:
(1) developing methods and procedures for K-12 teachers to design learning experiences in computational education
(2) devising ways for K-12 teachers to assess computational thinking in the classroom
(3) applying Papert's constructionist philosophy to computer education classes and developing application cases
(4) developing national curriculum standards for K-12 computer education in South Korea.

I completed Ph.D. at the Korea National University of Education in 2017. I also hold a B.Ed. in Computer Education of secondary Education, a B.Ed. in Elementary Education, and a M.A. in Computer Education from the KNUE.
